1. Human/object detection
Active triggering of door opening: When the infrared probe detects a human or moving object within a certain range (usually 0.5~5 meters) in front of the door, it will send a signal to the control system to trigger the motor to start opening the door.
Direction recognition (advanced models): Some dual-beam or multi-beam infrared probes can distinguish movement towards or away from the door to avoid misjudgment (such as repeated door opening when a person leaves).
2. Safety anti-pinch protection
Presence detection: During the door closing process, if the infrared probe continuously detects obstacles (such as people or pets) in the door gap area, it will immediately pause or reverse the door leaf to prevent pinching.
Blind area supplement: Cooperate with pressure sensors (such as rubber edge strips) to cover areas that mechanical contact sensors cannot detect (such as children or small objects).
3. Energy saving and life extension
Sleep when no one is around: When there is no trigger signal for a long time, the system can enter low power consumption mode to reduce standby energy consumption.
Reduce invalid actions: Avoid accidental door opening caused by non-target objects such as wind and fallen leaves, and reduce mechanical wear.
4. Adaptive function expansion
Environmental anti-interference: Modern infrared probes mostly use passive infrared (PIR) or microwave radar composite technology to reduce interference from sunlight, lights, etc.
Sensitivity adjustment: The detection range and response speed can be adjusted according to the flow of people (such as high sensitivity in shopping malls and low sensitivity in warehouses).
5. Special scene application
Two-way traffic control: In a double-door system, the infrared probe can jointly determine the direction of entry and exit and control the corresponding door movement.
Delayed closing: When continuous activity (such as multiple people passing) is detected, the door opening time is extended until there is no activity in the area.
